Our Rexnord Business System (RBS) is the true north that connects our processes and values and gives us tools for continuous improvement. It’s based on the notion that with great people, a winning plan and a systematic, repeatable process, we can do a little more and a little better for our customers every day.
Importantly, RBS also enables speed, scalability and consistency. When we see an opportunity, we have a toolkit that allows us to act. When we collaborate with colleagues around the globe, we have a common language and processes in place to quickly identify and share opportunities. When we make an acquisition, we have a framework for integration that identifies and optimizes the best of both worlds.
RBS applies to everyone at Rexnord. 101 Training provides a foundation in the system for every associate. Online training courses give further learning in key areas. Our RBS Leadership Program offers a chance to be certified in processes such as Value Stream Mapping, Total Productive Maintenance and Six Sigma.
The principles of RBS include bringing in the voice of the customer, engaging associates, ensuring process-based and scalable execution, and creating a culture of continuous improvement.
These principles underpin an ongoing process cycle that includes daily management, kaizen events and breakthrough targets. Our efforts focus on 17 core business processes grouped into four key focus areas: People, Plan, Process and Performance.
